The book has been carefully repaired, but not profesionally - the original covers are missing and only the front section has been salvaged, which has been pasted onto the new black wrappers. A tiny hole on the edge of pages 153/154 has been repaired with clear tape, as has a tear on the last page. The spine and the tail of the back wrapper has been reinforced with black tape.There is foxing throughout as well as pencil annotations and neat underlining, also in pencil. the hinge on pp 78/79 and 80/81 have been reinforced with tape. The cover is not pretty, but internally the book is solid and the 28 sketches delightful. Treated well, this copy will celebrate 200 years.
