From the Introduction: "Artists who live and work in remote locations translate, through their art practice, significant and important insights into the land, how we use it, how we come to know it, its spirit, beauty andits people. This exhibition is a collaborative project betwen Country Arts South Australia and the National Gallery of Malaysia. It features works by artists from remote regions of South Australiaand theSabah andSarawak regions of East Malaysia and investigates the relationship between artists and their surroundings.
