Green cloth covers. The edges are chipped and there are 2 small tears at the tail of the spine; The back board is badly rubbed, leaving a largeish bald patch where the green thread has gone. There is a Department of Agriculture stamp on title page and an ownership stamp - J.M. Thomson - present intermittently throughout the book. There's a dedication, "to Jim from Dick 7/9/88" handwritten on the verso of the front end paper. The front hinge is exposed; pp 93 to 96 and again pp 121-128 have minor creasing at the top right hand corner. The map is missing. There are no photos in this copy but none is listed in the content page and the original binding is too solid for them to have been removed. Internally the book is in excellent condition with no inner markings A good ++ copy.
