In both volumes, the top third of the spine strip is hanging on precariously and looks most unattractive; there is also loss to its head and tail. Apart from the spine, the boards are quite respectable and internally the book is near fine condition and solidly bound.. Could not find anything about this book, except that it was mentioned in Denis G Paz's book "Popular Anti-Catholicism in Mid-Victorian England".
