The book has been beautifully restored. The original spine has been pasted onto a new spine strip and apart from a missing square towards the tail, which has been replaced with a similar coloured one, can be almost compared to Audrey Hepburn's neck. The end papers and both paste downs have been replaced and there is a neat ownership signature on the title page. The fold out map facing page 164 has been incorrectly folded and and in part juts out of the boards.The edges of page 143 -150 are damaged. For all these faults, it remains a clean and solid copy that will last another 150 years. Includes plates and fold out maps.
