The covers are chipped at the edges and the spine suffers from loss headand tail; the front end paper has the remnants of a square sticker, possibly an ownership one and a stam: " Deutsche Chirurgische Klinik in Prag", and its lower outer edge suffers from minor loss and up to page 14 the same lower edge is brittle and dog-eared. A clean and solid copy, though obviously second hand and read. Knowing the provenance of this book, I can say it is well travelled, from Prag, to Berlin, to Rome to Melbourne to a small country town in Australia.
