The front of the jacket has loss to the head of the spine, which is also chipped; there is loss to the head of the spine; the back suffers from minor loss to the outer edge and near the edge of the spine strip, both at the tail; and the head of back flap is chipped at the edge, with a tiny chip missing. The boards have a slight forward lean.There is a neat ownership signature on the front end paper and the pages are lightly yellowed. A clean, unmarked and solid copy. Includes a 16 page catalogue of other tirtles in John Murray's Imperial Library. Spanish Maine was published in America under the title of the Desert Heritage. "Percival Christopher Wren (1 November 1875 - 22 November 1941) was an English writer, mostly of adventure fiction. He is remembered best for Beau Geste, a much-filmed book of 1924, involving the French Foreign Legion in North Africa.
