This has caused tearing along the inner edge near the staple, though the binding remains solid. The tail has a series of short closed tears, and the pages are annoted in pencil throught, always on the blank edge, and some sentences undelined, again in pencil. Not a pretty copy, but still very serviceable and quite capable of celebrating its centenary and beyond.
