The body of the book, the text, is clean, unmarked and the binding solid. "In 1786 Mary Bryant [nee Broad] was convicted of assault & robbery and sentenced to be hanged. She was subsequently transported to Sydney. In 1791 she escaped the convict settlement with her two children, her husband, William Bryant and 7 other felons."
