Land of Swift-running Horses. A Summer of Adventures in Mongolia.

Smith, Mabel Waln
216 pages, interspersed with black and white sketches. The jacket is chipped at the edges, including a series of short tears, three of which have been repaired with sticky tape. It also suffers from loss at the head of the spine, badly at the tail. There is a heavy ownership signature on the front end paper, which has left its shadow on its verso and on the title page. Minor foxing to the fore-edge and head. A clean, unmarked and solid copy, though clearly second hand. "Land of Swift-running Horses is Mongolia. Mabel Waln Smith describes how she spent a summer living there on the edge of vthe Gobi desert with a herd of wild horses, their Swedish breeder, and his Mongolian herdsmen and their families" (front flap)
