The boards have faded, badly towards the tail and along the spine; the head of the spine is damaged, chewed by an enthusiastic insect, the damage goes through to the front hinge, though the binding remains solid.There is a gift inscription on the front end paper; the fore-edge is foxed and there is minor damp staining to the head of most plates. It's not a pretty book, but the binding is very good and there are no inner markings.
