I would be able to describe this book "fine" were it not for page 270, where instructions for knitting a heel (gewöhnliche Ferse) have been neatly crossed out and rude comments handwritten along the blank edge. The book belonged to my grandmother and having seen the quality of her work, if she says the instructions are wrong, they are wrong. The rest of the book is immaculate. No publishing date. Between 1900 and 1920.
