A Truckload of Rice

Berna, Paul
151 pages. Translated from the French by John Buchanan-Brown. The book once belonged to Mt. Dandenong State School. Its stamps on the title page and back end paper. The tail of the fore-edge suffers from a brown stain, as do pp 14 to 16. It's not pretty, but neither savage nor large. Both pasted downs are lightly damaged and the back end paper has 'cancelled' writ large across the middle. The jacket is price clipped and has a library label on the tail of the spine. The damage is minor and aesthetic rather than structural, and the bulk of the book is in very good condition, clean, unmarked and solid. "A young boy uses a goldfish to track down the thief who tries to steal the money that is to send a truckload of rice to starving Chandrapur." First British edition.
